Shipping policy

At the Black Grocer, we use a number of fulfilment centres to deliver to our customers'.  Some of them will offer free shipment and we will tell you who they are and the goods you need to purchase to get the free shipment .  Some will have a set fee regardless of how much you spend. 

Example Given: 

  • If you purchase any of the products produced by Forman & Field, they will charge you a set fee of £9.95 regardless of how much you spend.  This is to do with how the products are wrapped. 

Others will have special deals on certain items and will waiver the delivery fee.  We will keep you informed of all fees throughout your shopping experience. 

We will dispatch the products ordered by you to the address which you give for delivery when you make your order. If any of the details you have given us in your delivery address are incorrect, we are not liable for any items which have not been received.

Our delivery provider will make every effort to deliver goods within the timescales specified, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale.

If a parcel is delayed or lost, we will raise a claim with the specific delivery provider however we cannot accept liability for any out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries.

Some postal addresses in Northern Ireland, some offshore islands and some remote areas of Great Britain may not be covered by our normal delivery services and so we may have to contact you to advise you of extra postal charges. 

Our main delivery options are:

Royal Mail Standard Delivery - £3.95 + VAT (usually delivered within 7 working days)
Royal Mail Express Delivery - £7.35 + VAT (usually delivered within 2-3 working days)
EVRI Standard Delivery - £3.60 + VAT (usually delivered within 7 working days)
EVRI Express Delivery - £4.60 + VAT (usually delivered within 2-3 working days)

There will be a surcharge of £2.00 + VAT on any EVRI deliveries sent to Zone B Postcodes (please click here to view EVRI Zone B Postcode List)

Age Verified Standard Delivery - £6.60 + VAT (usually delivered within 7 working days)
Age Verified Express Delivery - £10.10 + VAT (usually delivered within 2-3 working days)

*Certain AB, DD, FK, TD, PH postcodes, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and the Isles of Scilly may take longer than stated.
